Working Title: Seelye Sexy
Matt had a couple of basslines that he showed us when he first joined. Over the next two days I arranged it, wrote my parts, and wrote all the lyrics and vocal melodies. The lyrics and vocal melodies I wrote in the shower. Coincidentally, the same exact day that Matt wrote the lyrics to Fire That We Found. ALSO IN THE SHOWER. Different shower. Can you imagine if it was the same one though?
The recording session of this is in my Top 3 Two Sly Deuce memories. We invited a bunch of people and more than expected wound up showing up. I remember getting Cory and Richie in there as well to do some additional harmonies. Being in there, arranging everything was an amazing feeling. Everyone was in great spirits and did wonderful.
1. Matt's first show. The one at the Warehouse where everyone went insane.
2. This recording session
3. The first time we were played on the radio
4. The first time we won a battle of the bands
5. The show at Northside with Brandon Ferguson where he got the nickname "Panama"
This song, contrary to popular belief, (KEVIN), is mostly not about sex. It's about being nervous talking to someone you like, and how important speaking to one another is in a relationship. And how WORDS are the sexiest and most intimate part of a relationship. I just wrote it to sound sexy.

Lyrics by Derrick Faith
I've never been the one to say it
Least of all not in this way
Word's like iron in a fire
So malleable
Your brittle little broken prayers
A sandstorm of
This ire
Speaking in riddle and inuendo
What are we saying?
Oh I don't know, no no
But, maybe on your end you reap and sow
The know
Of what we're thinking
Feel the sweat and heat
Burning up your energy
Getting closer now
We're moving in a syngery
Full start
Press forward simultaneously
We don't stop
No we don't stop
You've always been the one to show it
Cryptic signs just not your style
But I'm much better at explaining the situation
So correct me if I'm wrong
Or if I'm out of line
Praying to all you hold dear that you know
Just what I've been thinking
I hope you know, know, know
Unholy torture in your silence
Violence on your tongue
Feel the sweat and heat burning up your energy
Getting closer now to reconcile the chemistry
The proof of truth is spoken
Oh so very cynically
We don't stop. no we
Don't stop
I see you looking in my window
What are we doing
I think I know
Give the signal now I've got to go
