Matt wrote it as more of a bluesy John Mayer type thing. I heard the beats wrong, so I thought it was a syncopated Michael Jackson/Daft Punk/Hall and Oates thing. It worked out in the end. This song was used to audition singers. I found a rough demo of Little Luke's audition and used it as an effect in the second chorus. Eric Rhodes also sang this if I recall, but we don't have a recording. Originally, Matt was going to teach me the guitar part and I was going to teach him the bass line. Then I was like.....That's stupid. Just switch them live
